A. Documentary Requirements
- Personal appearance. The document needs to be signed before an authorized officer of the Embassy before it can issue a Certificate of Acknowledgement
- Original passport of the principal signatory of the document for notarization via Acknowledgement
- Copy of the valid government issued ID/passport of the attorney-in-fact/representative, if any
- Copy of ID/passport data page and signature page of at least two (2) witnesses who are eighteen (18) years old and above
- Other supporting documents that form part of the document for notarization via Acknowledgement
Other relevant documents may be required by the Consular Officer, depending on the circumstances of the applicant requesting for the consular services.
B. Procedures:
- Legal documents must be prepared by the principal who will sign the document for notarization via Acknowledgement.
- The principal ensures that all the information in his/her document is correct and that the document has the complete names (first name, middle name, last name) of the parties and the witnesses.
- Ensures that the signatures of the witnesses matches those in their IDs/passports.
- Pay the processing fee of USD 25.00/(visit this page for the LAK equivalent). Payable in cash (USD or LAK) and BCEL OnePay (LAK).
- Processing period is one (1) working day.
