If you have been issued with an NBI Clearance from 16 October 2016 onwards, you may apply for renewal through this link (https://clearance.nbi.gov.ph/) on the website of the Philippine National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
Alternatively, applicants may secure an NBI Clearance Application Form (NBI Form No. 5) and have their fingerprint impressions taken at the Philippine Embassy in Vientiane. The requirements are as follows:
- Filled-out NBI Form No. 5 which may be secured from the Embassy’s Consular Section
- Original valid passport
- One (1) pc. 2 in. x 2 in. photographs in white background, taken within the last three (3) months prior to the application
- Notarial processing fee of USD 25.00 (visit this page for the LAK equivalent, payable in cash only; NBI clearance fee is not yet included)
It is the responsibility of the applicant to send the notarized accomplished NBI Form No. 5, including other NBI clearance application requirements which may be requested by the NBI, directly to your representative in the Philippines who can submit your application on your behalf.
The application may be filed at the Main Office of the NBI in Manila. NBI’s complete address and contact details are also found on their website.
A Special Power of Attorney (SPA) notarized by the Embassy may be required from your representative in the Philippines. Therefore, we advise that you or your representative first inquire with the NBI office regarding the complete requirements for your NBI application.
