At the conference, the Lao PDR highlighted improvements and opportunities in its investment, trade, and tourism sectors, and showcased the dynamic participation of the business sector, in line with the Lao PDR government’s priority to advance economic diplomacy through new and diversified sectors, markets, and partners.

The Philippine Embassy views the Lao PDR as an emerging economic partner of the Philippines, with several opportunities in many of the Lao PDR’s economic sectors. With the Lao PDR’s hosting of ASEAN this year, Philippine officials will have the opportunity to witness what the country has to offer, which may lead to prospects and potential partnerships.
