Philippine delegation, led by Department of Finance (DOF) Undersecretary for International Finance Group Joven Balbosa, participated in the 11th ASEAN Finance Ministers’ and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting (AFMGM) and Related Meetings held at Pullman Hotel in Luang Prabang on 02-05 April 2024.

During the AFMGM co-chaired by Lao Finance Minister Santiphab Phomvihane, and Governor of the Bank of the Lao PDR Bounleua Sinxayvoravong, the officials discussed ways to enhance ASEAN’s monetary and financial cooperation, create an inclusive and sustainable finance, and integrate and enhance the digital economy within the regional bloc. The meeting also aimed to find ways to strengthen the financial and banking sector of the region amid ongoing global economic and financial challenges.
