The Department of Tourism of the Republic of the Philippines, led by Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, hosted Philippine Night for international buyers, private sector sellers and international media at the Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel on 26 January 2024.

During her remarks, Secretary Frasco highlighted the impressive recovery of Philippine tourism, which has generated millions of jobs for FIlipinos, as well as billions of dollars in visitor receipts.

Secretary Frasco also took the opportunity to invite everyone to the 36th United Nations World Tourism Organization Joint Commission Meeting of East Asia and the Pacific and the Commission of South Asia and the Regional Forum on Gastronomy, which will be held in June 2024 in Cebu, Philippines.

The event, which was graced by Lao PDR Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suanesavanh Vignaket, was filled with performances by various Filipino artists. Filipino cuisine was likewise served during the event.
