H.E. Christina Garcia Frasco, Secretary of Tourism of the Republic of the Philippines, participated in the 27th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers held on 25-26 January 2024 in Vientiane, Lao PDR.

Under the theme “Quality and Responsible Tourism–Sustaining Asean Future”, the meeting discussed ways to implement the ASEAN Tourism Strategic Plan (ATSP) for the period 2016-2025; key priorities for the recovery of the tourism sector for 2023-2024; and the development of ecotourism standards as an economic priority initiative for 2024; among other topics.
