On 12-13 December 2023, a delegation from the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) participated in the “Save the world, ASEAN youth joining hands in initiating a culture of responsible plastic use” project, which was organized by the Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism of the Lao PDR and the Lao National Institute of Fine Arts.

Ms. Michelle Ann Kinomes, a student of the PHSA, accompanied by Mr. Marc Vincent Cosico, a PHSA teacher, did a presentation on the art of banana leaf cutting.

The Save the World project, which falls under the purview of the ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information, aims to “promote, protect and preserve a safe and sustainable green planet for future generations, as well as heighten environmental awareness and the duty of care for the sustainability of a healthy environment”.
