Philippine Ambassador Deena Joy Amatong, together with other Embassy personnel, attended and supported the Charity Fashion Show of the 22nd Lao Handicraft Festival held on 12 November 2023 at the Lao International Trade Exhibition and Convention Center (ITECC) in Vientiane.

Third Secretary and Vice Consul Jorge Philippe Arjona joined the Fashion Show wearing a Lao suit which is a modern take on Lao textiles from the MEN Folder collection called “The Spirit and Essence of Laos”. The suit is handmade using cotton fabric from Savannakhet Province. This was accented by a custom-made bag made of cotton, also from Savannakhet, edged with the snake bone pattern of the Tai Dam ethnic group.

The Charity Fashion Show, which is held annually, aims to promote Lao handicrafts by showcasing various textiles, clothes, and accessories. Under the theme “Caring for the less Fortunate”, the fashion show also gives an opportunity for the Lao Handicraft Association to help women and children in rural areas through donations from various entities. This year, the Association is focusing on helping those affected by the recent heavy flooding in the Lao PDR.

The Fashion show was graced by Madame Naly Sisoulith, spouse of Lao PDR President Thongloun Sisoulith and Chairperson of the Advisory Board of the Lao Handicraft Association, as well as Lao PDR Vice President Pany Yathotou.

ທ່ານ ຈອດຈ໌ ຟິລິບ ອາໂຮນາ, ເລຂານຸການຕຣີ ແລ ະຮອງກົງສຸນ ກໍ່ໄດ້ເຂົ້າຮ່ວມການເດີນແບບທີ່ໃສ່ຊຸດລາວ ເຊິ່ງເປັນເຄື່ອງຕັດຫຍິບລາວທີ່ທັນສະໄໝຈາກຮ້ານ MEN Folder ທີ່ມີຊື່ວ່າ “ຈິດວິນຍານ ແລະ ແກ່ນສານ ຂອງ ລາວ”. ຊຸດແມ່ນເຮັດດ້ວຍມື ໂດຍໃຊ້ຜ້າຝ້າຍຈາກ ແຂວງສະຫວັນນະເຂດ. ໂດດເດັ່ນດ້ວຍກະເປົ໋າຜ້າຝ້າຍທີ່ເຮັດຂຶ້ນພິເສດທີ່ມາຈາກ ແຂວງສະຫວັນນະເຂດ ເຊັ່ນດຽວກັນ, ຫຍິບຂອບດ້ວຍລວດລາຍກະດູກງູຂອງຊົນເຜົ່າໄຕດຳ.

ງານເດີນແບບການກຸສົນ, ທີ່ຈັດຂຶ້ນທຸກໆປີ, ແມ່ນເພື່ອແນໃສ່ການສົ່ງເສີມເຄື່ອງຫັດຖະກຳລາວ ດ້ວຍການສະແດງເຄື່ອງຕັດຫຍິບ, ເຄື່ອງນຸ່ງ ແລະ ເຄື່ອງປະດັບຕ່າງໆ. ພາຍໃຕ້ຫົວຂໍ້ “ຫ່ວງໃຍໄປເຖິງ”, ງານເດີນແບບຍັງເປັນການເປີດໂອກາດໃຫ້ສະມາຄົມຫັດຖະກຳລາວ ໄດ້ຊ່ວຍເຫຼືອແມ່ຍິງ ແລະ ເດັກນ້ອຍຢູ່ໃນເຂດຊົນນະບົດ ໂດຍຜ່ານການບໍລິຈາກຂອງບັນດາອົງການຕ່າງໆ. ປີນີ້, ສະມາຄົມແມ່ນສຸມໃສ່ການຊ່ວຍເຫລືອຜູ້ທີ່ໄດ້ຮັບຜົນກະທົບຈາກໄພນໍ້າຖ້ວມໜັກໃນ ສປປ ລາວ

ງານເດີນແບບດັ່ງກ່າວ ແມ່ນໄດ້ຮັບກຽດຈາກ ມາດາມ ນາລີ ສີສຸລິດ, ພັນລະຍາຂອງ ປະທານປະເທດ ທ່ານ ທອງລຸນ ສີສຸລິດ ແລະ ທັງເປັນປະທານສະພາທີ່ປຶກສາ ສະມາຄົມຫັດຖະກຳລາວ, ພ້ອມດ້ວຍ ທ່ານ ນາງ ປານີ ຢາທໍ່ຕູ້ ຮອງປະທານປະເທດ ແຫ່ງ ສປປ ລາວ.
