Organized by the Lao Handicrafts Association, the Lao Handicraft Festival is an annual event that provides a platform for artisans and entrepreneurs across Laos to showcase their products and highlight the importance of preserving and promoting local handicrafts and culture. It is also held in honor of the Lao Handicraft Day, which is celebrated every 1st of November since 2007.

This year’s festival is a forerunner of the 9th ASEAN Traditional Textiles Symposium which the Lao PDR will be hosting in 2024. The festival will run until 12 November 2023 at Lao ITECC.
