Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) Vice President Dennis Marasigan led the Philippine delegation to the 19th meeting of ASEAN Senior Officials Responsible for Culture and Arts at the Amari Vang Vieng in Vientiane Province, Lao PDR from 23-27 October 2023.

The opening ceremony, which took place on October 24, was attended by Lao Minister for Information, Culture and Tourism Suanesavanh Vignaket, Vientiane Province Deputy Governor Daoheuang Nanthavong and ASEAN Deputy Secretary-General Ekkaphab Phanthavong.

Under the theme “Promoting the Role of Asean Culture and the Arts in the Post-Covid-19 Pandemic for Sustainable Development”, this year’s meeting began by acknowledging culture and the arts as a crucial driver of economic growth and sustainable development in the region.
