Police Major General Neil Alinsañgan led the Philippine delegation to the 41st ASEANAPOL Conference in Vientiane from 17-19 October 2023.

ASEANAPOL, or the ASEAN National Police, is a regional police organization that deals with the preventive, enforcement and operational aspects of cooperation against transnational crime. It was established in Manila, Philippines during the first formal meeting of the Chiefs of ASEAN Police held from 21-23 October 1981.

Under the theme “Enhance Partnership in Promoting Peace, Stability and Security”, this year’s conference aims to strengthen cooperation among member states’ police forces to further promote peace, stability and security in the region.

During their visit to the Lao PDR, the delegation from the Philippine National Police also called on Ambassador Deena Joy Amatong at the Philippine Embassy in Vientiane to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and the Lao PDR.
