World Food Day 2

World Food Day 3

Celebrated every 16th of October, World Food Day marks the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO). This year's theme is “Water in life, Water is food. Leave no one Behind” which aims to remind everyone the importance of water and how it impacts what we eat and how we produce food.

Meanwhile, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty is celebrated every 17th of October, in order to raise awareness of the need to eradicate poverty worldwide, particularly in developing countries. In 2003, the Lao PDR declared October 17-24 as the National Week for the Eradication of Poverty.
