The Philippine Embassy, led by Ambassador Deena Joy Amatong, joined Madame Alouny Kommasith, Honorary President of the ASEAN Women’s Circle of Vientiane or AWCV, and other members of the AWCV, in a tour of Xieng Khuan Park, also known as Buddha Park.

The AWCV is composed of female ambassadors, spouses of ambassadors and female diplomats from ASEAN Embassies in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Its goal is to encourage cultural and social exchanges towards the realization of a people-centered ASEAN Community.

The day’s visit was an opportunity to welcome new members and to bid farewell to departing members. After a tour of Buddha Park, the participants were treated to a Lao lunch followed by the dancing of the Lamvong and Baslop.
