Philippine Ambassador to the Lao PDR Deena Joy Amatong joined H.E. Hor Sarun, Cambodian Secretary of State for Tourism and Special Envoy of the National Committee of Cambodia SEA Games Organizing Committee; H.E. Atsaphanthong Siphandone, Governor of Vientiane Capital; H.E. Thong Sokuntheary, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Lao PDR, Ambassadors and diplomats at the torch relay for the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games.

Before reaching Vientiane, the torch was lit by His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni in Angkor Wat, Cambodia. The torch then traveled to Vietnam, the Philippines, Brunei, Indonesia, Timor-Leste, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Myanmar and Laos.   

The 32nd SEA Games and 12th ASEAN Para Games will take place from 5-17 May and 3-9 June 2023, respectively, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
