Philippine Ambassador Deena Joy Amatong called on Lao Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, H.E. Bounkham Vorachit, on 13 March 2023 to discuss matters related to climate change, environmental protection, disaster risk management and biodiversity, among others.

Ambassador Amatong conveyed the Philippines’ support for Laos’ ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024 and looked forward to the 17th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on the Environment to be held in Vientiane this October.
