Philippine Ambassador to Laos, H.E. Deena Joy Amatong, joined the women of Houaphan in celebrating International Women’s Day at the Sam Neua Stadium in Sam Neua, Houaphan Province.

Madam Amphayvone Lombounpheng, Provincial Party Committee Member and President of the Provincial People’s Council, welcomed the Ambassador as their Special Guest.

The Ambassador joined over 500 women of Houaphan in an early morning aerobic session at the Sam Neua Stadium.

After the program, the Ambassador visited the Lao Women’s Union Training Center of Houaphan Province where the intricate silk weaving the province is best known for was on display.
