In celebration of National Heritage Month 2021, the Sentro Rizal of the Philippine Embassy in Vientiane, Lao, PDR, in partnership with the Repertory Philippines Foundation, Inc. (REP) held a 24-hour online streaming of the multi-award winning production of The Quest for the ADARNA from 9:00 A.M. on 22 May 2021 to 9:00 A.M. on 23 May 2021.
The musical/play, which was produced by Repertory Philippines, was a retelling of the timeless Filipino epic poem “Ang Ibong Adarna” that was about three princes who were sent out to capture the Adarna, a magical bird that had a voice that could cure the ailing king of Berbania. The musical was in English allowing all foreign nationals to enjoy the musical and was suitable for all ages.
Repertory Philippines Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1967 with the aim of teaching and training actors. The company produces modern and western plays and has staged 455 productions, including Les Miserables and Annie. End.
