The Lao Handicrafts Festival was established in 2002 and is currently on its 19th run. The 2020 Lao Handicrafts Festival carried the theme, “Craftmanship has become a touristic place that follows the path of our ancestors”, and featured more than 200 handicraft shops selling Lao textiles (silk and cotton), rattan and bamboo products, and pottery, as well as demonstrations of handicraft production, trainings and the ethnic fashion show. The Festival aimed to promote Lao products, preserve Lao craftmanship and ethnic handicrafts, and protect Lao national copyrights. End
