The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane would like to inform the public of the following latest updates on policies regarding entry to the Philippines:

 

a. Filipino nationals are allowed entry to the Philippines, subject to the following conditions:

 

     1. With pre-booked accommodation for at least seven (7) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility; and,

 

     2. Subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the seventh(7th) day from the date of arrival.

 

b. Entry of all travelers, including Filipino citizens, from India or those with travel history to India within the last fourteen (14) days preceding arrival is prohibited until 14 May 2021.

 

c. All passengers coming from or who have been to Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka within 14 days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines shall be prohibited from entering the country until 2359H of 14 May 2021.

 

All passengers merely transiting through India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh shall not be deemed as having come from or having been to such country provided that they stayed in the airport the whole time and were not cleared for entry into these countries by their immigration authorities. Upon arrival in the Philippines, these individuals need not complete a full 14-day facility-based quarantine, but shall comply with existing testing and quarantine protocols of the national government.

 

d. Foreign nationals seeking to enter PH must first secure an entry exemption document from the DFA and have a valid 9a visa upon arrival. Meanwhile, foreign nationals who are covered by the Balikbayan program and coming from non-visa required countries, specifically, former Filipino citizens and their spouses and children who are traveling with them; and foreign spouses and children of Filipino citizens traveling with them are allowed to enter visa-free.

 

e. Travelers must have a pre-booked accommodation for at least seven (7) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility. They are subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the sixth (6th) day from the date of arrival. They are also subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry.
