Sentro Rizal Vientiane joins the entire Filipino nation in commemorating the 127th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal today, 30 December 2023, with the theme “Rizal: Pundasyon ng Kahapon, Isinasabuhay Ngayon" (Rizal: Foundation of the Past, Living Today).

After the issuance of a Decree by General Emilio Aguinaldo on 20 December 1898, Rizal Day is commemorated annually on the 30th of December, in honor of the life and work of Dr. Jose Rizal, the national hero of the Philippines.
