The Philippine Embassy was one of the participating ASEAN embassies during the Festival held from 28 to 31 January 2020 at Chao Anouvong Park in Vientiane, Laos. Aside from promoting each ASEAN embassy’s goods, the initiative by the AWCV also highlighted the diversity of ASEAN Community as a whole.

During the event, the Embassy sold Philippine-made goods, namely fashion accessories, Likas papaya soap, and Filipino food, such as kaldereta, chicken adobo, pinakbet, and pinapaitan. Several Lao and foreign nationals passed by the Embassy’s booth to sample Filipino cuisine and inspect the displayed products, and those who have visited and resided in the Philippines, praised the country’s warmth and craftsmanship.
