The Philippine Embassy in Vientiane would like to inform the public of the following latest updates on policies regarding entry to the Philippines:
 
a. Filipino nationals are allowed entry to the Philippines, subject to the following conditions:
 
     1. With pre-booked accommodation for at least seven (7) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility; and,
     2. Subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the seventh (7th) day from the date of arrival.
 
b. All passengers coming from or who have been to India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman and the United Arab Emirates within fourteen (14) days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines shall be prohibited from entering the country from 0001H of 15 May 2021 Manila time until 2359H of 31 May 2021.
 
c. All passengers coming from or who have been to India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman and the United Arab Emirates within fourteen (14) days immediately preceding arrival in the Philippines, arriving before 0001H of 15 May 2021 Manila time, shall not be prohibited from entering the country, but shall be required to undergo an absolute facility-based fourteen (14) – day quarantine period notwithstanding a negative RT-PCR test result.
 
d. Passengers merely transiting through India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Oman and the United Arab Emirates – defined as those who have stayed inside airports the whole time of their transit and were not cleared for entry into these countries by their immigration authorities – will not be covered by this prohibition and need only to comply with existing testing and quarantine protocols applying to all arriving passengers, i.e. with pre-booked accommodation for at least ten (10) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility; and subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the seventh (7th) day from the date of arrival.
 
e. Foreign nationals seeking to enter PH must first secure an entry exemption document from the DFA and have a valid 9a visa upon arrival. Meanwhile, foreign nationals who are covered by the Balikbayan program and coming from non-visa required countries, specifically, former Filipino citizens and their spouses and children who are traveling with them; and foreign spouses and children of Filipino citizens traveling with them are allowed to enter visa-free.
 
f. Travelers must have a pre-booked accommodation for at least ten (10) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility. They are subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the seventh (7th) day from the date of arrival. They are also subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry.
